Pete You were the friend that was also "family" and we treasure the times we spent with you and Jan and your family. SuperBowl, Christmas, New Years, what great fun we had! And the times we could call you and Jan, and say, "Come on over and have dinner with us." and of course the many time the call would come from you. I remember when you came over to help Tom hang the siding on his workshop, and when it was done, I thanked you because I told you I couldn't do it because I didn't like heights, to which you replied, "I don't either." What a trooper! And of course you kept the old green Ford truck running for us. And the great deck you and Tom and Jan built. The great times we had when we visited you in Redding were memorable, and of course we were so happy when you moved back "home" to Sonoma County. I truly enjoyed our visits, when I "checked in" on you when Jan was away for a few days. We surely discussed all the things going on in the world and solved a lot of political issues. We treasure the last few weeks we were able to spend with you, whether at the hospital or at home. We all miss you more than words can say. A truer friend we've never had.
